A series of trial and error

I’ll start this review by prefacing that this is my first time using reusable period pads. I only bought this starter set, so I was constantly handwashing washing the few I had (because it would have been a waste of water and electricity to run the washing machine at least once a day for for just a few pads). Second, I have an extremely heavy flow.

What I liked:
It’s well made, the patterns were nice, it’s quite comfortable, no plastic crinkle when I walk/sit down!, the blood never leaked through the back, and the included wet bag was very nice and well made.

What I didn’t like:
First, I made a huge mistake when I chose the cotton lining. It stains! Hydrogen peroxide could only do so much. The site did say that cotton can stain, so I guess it was my fault for not choosing black or the Minky type. Second, the Heavy Day Pad didn’t keep my pants blood free. There was no leakage from the back. The problem is that when the pad is full, the blood creeps over around the side where it’s fastened to the underwear and stained my pants. I guess next time, I’ll use the Night pads for the day time. Third, the Night pad was too short for sleeping. Since I have a heavy flow, the blood ended up leaking past from where the pad ended. Next time, I’ll probably have to use the Super Night pad.

Despite my complaints, I don’t regret buying the starter set because it gave me different sizes to figure out what would work for me next time.
