Tree Hugger Cloth Pads began with Crystal, a mom who wanted something softer, safer, and better for her family. What started at her sewing table in Winnipeg has grown into a Canadian-made, family-run brand helping thousands switch to reusable comfort.

HOW IT STARTED

It all started with cloth diapers.

When Crystal and her husband Scott welcomed their second child in 2007, they switched to cloth diapers to save money and reduce waste.

It wasn’t long before Crystal began looking for a reusable alternative to disposable pads too.

After feeling how much softer cloth diapers were on their baby Crystal was desperate for something more comfortable for herself during her peiod. She bought 3 reusable soft pads and instantly felt the difference. No rashes, no irritation, no plastic crinkle. And surprisingly, they were just as easy to wash as any other load of laundry.

That moment changed everything.

Started in 2008 Tree Hugger Cloth Pads officially became a full family business in 2013 when Scott joined the business. Crystal handles customer service, shipping, inventory/supplies, and the website, while Scott manages production, bookkeeping, and — of course — the hilarious online videos that introduced thousands of people to reusable pads.

Together, they keep Tree Hugger Cloth Pads running with heart, humour, and honesty.

I love these

I love these, I have multiple absorbencies and they’re all so comfortable. They don’t get that yucky sweaty feeling that disposable pads get. I know that’s gross but I don’t know how else to describe it. These feel so much softer and drier than disposables. I usually use a diva cup during the day with a cloth pantyliner as a backup and I’ve never had a leak with that combo. They do a great job on a light day without the diva cup also. The nighttime/postpartum are extremely comfortable as well. No Divacup at night for me and the pads have no trouble keeping up with heavy flow and they stay put even though I tend to move around a lot at night. And I love that I’m not making extra trash every time I get my period.
I use cloth diapers for my kids so I was prepared for extra steps in my laundry routine but these don’t really require a bunch of extra steps. I do rinse them in cold water before washing on heavy days but I don’t think you have to. It’s just a habit after 30 years of periods to rinse blood stains in cold water I guess. Anyway, buy these, they’re amazing, and the shipping is so fast! I live in the middle of nowhere Kansas and these were delivered to me from Canada within a week of ordering them.Very impressed with the quality of the pads and the customer service!

They came in earlier than it said it would! Which is perfect cause my moom cycle should be happening soon. They look & feel like good quality, it came with a card on how to wash and care for it. The designs are also cute!
